Being aware that the social responsibility of a corporation is appropriate handling of information that can identify customers, such as customer name, address, phone number, e-mail address, etc. (“personal information”), BBS Japan Co., Ltd. (“BBS”) decided upon the following basic policy on the protection of personal information as follows:

1. Acquisition of personal information

When BBS obtains personal information, it shall identify the purpose of use and obtain the information with a fair measure to the extent necessary.

1) Use within the scope of purpose

BBS will not use personal information obtained as specified in 1. above beyond the scope of purpose without customer consent. Person information obtained by BBS will be used for the following purposes:

  1. Providing commercial guides for products and services handled by BBS.
  2. Execution of work to answer questions from customers, to provide immediate services, etc.
  3. Other purpose(s) specified when personal information is obtained.
  4. Taking action according to the law or instructions/guides of the government.

2) Providing personal information to a third party

BBS will not provide personal information to a third party obtained as specified in 1. above without customer consent of except for use within the purpose specified in 2.1) 4 above.

3) Appropriate control of personal information

BBS will take necessary measures to prevent illegal access to personal information, as well as loss, destruction, falsification or leak of personal information.
BBS will also provide instruction and training for the protection of personal information to employees who handle personal information.
If BBS provides personal information to a third party to subcontract work, BBS will investigate the third party in question and conclude a necessary agreement. BBS will also take necessary measures stipulated by law.

3. Responsibility of customers

The website operated by BBS may link to external websites. BBS does not assume any responsibility for any damage caused by handling of personal information and use of various kinds of information obtained by customers from such external websites.

4. Questions

Customers may request the disclosure of the personal information of the customer owned by BBS though procedures specified by BBS. If a customer wishes to have disclosure of the personal information of the customer, please contact BBS as given below.
Any question on personal information, including cases where a customer wishes to correct, stop or delete personal information of the customer should be directed below. BBS will take appropriate actions in all cases.
